Delivery and returns
Last updated: 22 September 2026
This page is part of our terms and conditions. It covers how an order reaches you, what to check when it arrives, and what happens when something is wrong.
1. Where orders come from
Every online order is picked, packed and dispatched from our Kariakoo head office in Dar es Salaam, whichever of our counters you usually visit.
2. Charges and timing
- Delivery is free on every order, whatever it comes to. Nothing is added at checkout.
- Orders confirmed during working hours are usually delivered the same day in Dar es Salaam, typically within three to four hours.
- Outside Dar es Salaam, timing and charges depend on the route and the size of the load, so we quote them for each order before it is dispatched.
- Working hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 18:00
The vehicle is matched to the load, from a motorbike for a small parcel to a van for a pallet. You can follow the driver and see their name, plate and phone number in the app once the order is on its way.
3. Receiving an order: the delivery code
Each order has a four-digit delivery code, shown only in your app. Give it to the driver when the order arrives and you are satisfied with it, never before. The code is how we prove the order reached the right hands, and the app records who signed for it and when.
Do not give the code to anyone who has not handed you the goods. If a driver asks for it in advance, refuse and call us on +255 744 221 315.
4. Check the order before you sign
Before you give the code, check that:
- the items and quantities match the delivery note;
- packaging is intact and seals are unbroken;
- batch numbers and expiry dates are acceptable to you;
- cold chain items are still cold.
Anything short, damaged, wrong or unacceptable should be refused at the door, or noted on the delivery note before you sign. That is the simplest way to put it right.
5. What can be returned
Medicines that have left our custody cannot be put back into saleable stock, so returns are limited for the safety of every facility we supply. We will replace, credit or refund:
- items delivered short, damaged or in broken packaging, reported at handover or within 24 hours of delivery;
- items we sent in error;
- items that arrive with less shelf life than six months;
- products that turn out to be defective, or that are the subject of a recall.
We cannot accept back:
- medicines that were stored outside their labelled conditions after delivery, including any cold chain item that has been out of refrigeration;
- items ordered in the wrong quantity or in error by you, once handed over and accepted, unless we agree otherwise in writing;
- anything with broken tamper seals or with the packaging marked or relabelled.
6. How to raise a return
Call +255 744 221 315 or message us on WhatsApp with the order number, the item and what is wrong. A photograph helps. We will tell you whether to hold the goods for collection or return them with the next driver. Keep the goods as they are until we answer.
7. Refunds and credits
- Orders paid by mobile money are refunded to the number that paid, normally within 24 hours of the refund being approved.
- Orders on a credit account are settled with a credit note against your balance.
- Cash on delivery is refunded by mobile money.
8. Recalls
If a batch we supplied is recalled, by us, by the manufacturer or by TMDA, we will contact every facility that received it using the batch records for that order, and tell you what to quarantine and how it will be collected and credited.
